ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
It all began in the 1970's as a an idea and a little park space for a sea turtle conservation program. In the 1980's Gumbo Limbo Friends of the Nature Center became a 501 C 3 and a grant was provided to build the Gumbo Limbo Center. Throughout the 2000's the center continued to grow and become one of the largest centers for rehabilitation and conserving Sea Turtles in the United States. Every year Gumbo Limbo offers a 10K Race & 1 Mile Fun Run for raising funds for the center, Badass Running Company is proud to have designed the medal for the 2020 race taking place April 5 in Boca Raton, FL and for this virtual run option.
